MOSCONE CENTER BOOTH 1713 MAC WORLD EXPO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Apple Events plus Notify! expands Magnum's TFLX Systems

CHATSWORTH. CA-- Rolling out the latest additions to its Voice Mail & FAX communication systems. Magnum Software Corp. announced at the MacWorld Expo that TFLX systems now access Apple Events RAM-based communication as well as Ex Machinas' Notify!TM which allows Macs to ta1k directly to pagers. Magnum also announced its new TFLX IT hardware unit which is 22K compatible and conveniently compact... about the size of a thick paperback novel.

Last year. Magnum unbundled its popular TFLX software/hardware product line, and introduced a low-cost basic TFLX system that handles incoming calls with touchtone access to an unlimited number of voice mailboxes and branching for outgoing information. Now a complete choice of software Modules is available so the basic system can be expanded into a professional-level system.

The Modules are priced according to the abilities each provides says Scott McTyre, Magnum's VP of Development. With the first Module, TFLX can go from a call-in-only application to having call out ability. By adding other software Modules as needs dictate, TFLX can grow with you. Our popular FAX on Demand Module, which works with third party FAX modems, allows TFLX to take FAX documents saved to disk and automatically send them upon a caller's request.

TFLX holds the honor of being the first voice mail system in the Mac world. For over 3 years it's been thoroughly proven by all kinds of users - businesses, individuals, schools and government entities. A further barometer of its reliability is that all the major phone companies here and in Canada are enthusiastic users and have ordered and reordered TFLX. They use it internally to create prototypes, improve Human Factors areas, etc.

TFLX's special claim to fame is its award-winn1ng Picture Programming© language, the first complete iconic language for the telephone/Mac/communications world. You simply select icons which represent specific tasks, create a flowchart of your application, then customize the Task Icons to handle exact responses or actions. This picture language permits TFLX users to easily create high level applications without needing to know a line of code. For example: Voice Mail, Order Entry, Tech Support, Fax On Demand, Appointment Making, Surveys and more. Says McTyre: Ever since we introduced TFLX in '89, it's been a dynamic product. Its capabilities have constantly been improved or added to. We see TFLX as an on-going project that will grow with, and even lead, the telephone/video/computer technologies.

TFLX systems range in price from $495 to $1750 with all Modules. It operates with MultiFinder and System 7.0 and works with almost any Mac, plugging into the serial port, and attaches to the telephone line with a standard RJ-l1 phone jack. 2.5 Mb RAM and a hard disk recommended. A 24-hour over-the-phone demonstration is available by calling 818-701-5051.

(To receive a FAX on Demand, please call into Magnum on your FAX phone line.)
