When the Macintosh was introduced in January 24, 1984, there were only four products available for it. They were MacWrite, MacPaint, Microsoft Multiplan and Microsoft BASIC. McPic! was the 5th product available for this ground breaking computer.


McPic! was The First "Clip Art" ever sold for any computer. McPic! started the whole industry of computer Clip art.

Note: We were looking for reviews and information for this History file. We remembered a Review that BYTE Magazine did on McPic! when it first came out. It was awful and they said this was the worse idea ever. "WHO WOULD EVER WANT TO USE CLIP ART?" They kept going on how stupid the idea of clip art was. They did say they liked the pictures and they were very professional.

We are sorry that we could not find that Review to post here.

We guess, that being the FIRST gets that kind of reaction. Guess they were wrong huh? LOL
