GYPSY: Gypsy is a great deal more than a computerized Ouija-type board, game. Those for whom fortune-telling, automatic writing and communicating with spiritual guides is a cocktail party game will no doubt love its creative graphics and find the mouse attachment a great conversation piece. Called, the "mouse-mover," this set of ball-bearings snaps onto the mouse which can then glide over your desk (or the hard-surfaced mouse board provided with Gypsy) like Fred Astaire over ice. It operates very much like the popular Ouija Board and can provide plenty of haunting entertainment. You can even choose a "dart-board" with a "dart" as well as several other style options provided. But Gypsy is really for those who seriously work with spiritual guides. Anyone who has a Seth-like acquaintance knows how persnickety these entities can get about having the board designed just so; letters here in this or that order, this symbol' here, that one there, etc. It's ridiculously easy to design and redesign unbelievable "boards" with whatever tone or pitch you want to sound, if any, with each response. You can use graphics provided or create your own, including the design of your pointer. You can create "hidden" messages that appear when a particular graphic is "hit." I designed a board where all the letters, numbers and words are invisible-no cheating is possible! It's a black surface with blinking and shooting stars (the stars are an option available with a click of the mouse). As your entity communicates with you, Gypsy records, times and dates the entire conversation (I recommend you type out your questions if you want to record an entire dialogue), which can then be edited and stored on Macwrite. This is invaluable if your guide is as philosophical and long-winded as most. Gypsy also features automatic writing. VP
